i used to operate flyer in the 60s and i remember the 980 series was more valuable i think. and in lionel it might have been cars with "6464" as their numbers. any info. thanx

Can you be a little more specific? There are whole libraries of information on these. Kinda like asking about fish: "I remember there were big ones and little ones...any info?"

Are you looking for info on one or two specific cars?

i just remember the 980s series i think were built in the late 50 early 60s for flyer. like 980 thru 989and the 23 or 24 series flyer were the last cars built before flyer went under in 1966 i think.i guess there were bought later by general mills. thanx
