Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 3:56 PM
Hi, my name's Marty and I'm new to this hobby. Presently modeling a western era railroad and am having trouble finding cowboy figures, saddled horses etc. Can anybody point me to a source ? Thanks, Marty.

Hello and welcome Marty.
If you search the forum, you will find several manufacturers mentioned Arttista to name one. You can go to the main page for Classic Toy Trains (owners of this site), or buy a magazine and you will find several sources. I have not seen any cowboy figures, that I am aware of, but I did see some that were close to scale at the Dollar Tree and they are cheap! You can get the cowboy and indian figures and then take some paints to make them more realistic. I hope this helps.

[#welcome] Marty !! In addition to Dennis' suggestions, see if there are any toy shows coming in your area, & check out Spankybirds webb site, as I believe he has stage coaches & a lot of other things on his layout you can look for ! Keep us posted & don't forget the Coffee Pot & Sunday Photo Fun !!
Thanks,
