That is such a cool item. My guess is that it will sell for big $$$. I had read about the race car set but had not seen pictures.

Does anyone have pictures of a set that is assembled and operating?

The reproduction set made by MTH (MTH Tinplate Traditions #85) can be seen in a TM video operating on Tom Snyder's Standard Gauge layout. I think when the repro was first offered ( early '90's? ) it was made by MTH for Lionel. Luckily for the set on Ebay there's still a source for it's missing parts.
