Looks like it has a three position fwd-neu-rev control. Nice brake control too.

Take a look -

Looks suprisingly realistic! [:D] [;)] Would love to have one reworked to operate an EMD model loco. Very nice.

Years ago, there were a couple of articles in Model Railroader about a guy who rebuilt a control stand from an EMD F-unit to operate his model railroad. Not satisfied with that, he later actually built a mock-up of an F unit can in his basement from which to operate the layout.

Dr. John,
At a yearly train show, up in my neck of the woods, theres a gentleman with a streetcar layout that has the controls from a real streetcar which control the model trains. The kids love it, although I dont think any of them know what an old streetcar was.

And actually that train show is this weekend at Harper College, Palatine, IL. If you start driving now you might be able to make it .

I'm thinking of going on Sat to the Hi-Rail show that Paul mentioned. Anyone else going?

Doug,
I think I'm going sunday. My son has Little League tryouts saturday!

Gettin to be that time of year already. Can't wait for those evening games when the winds start whipping of the lake at the temperatures hover around 40 degrees. Now thats Chicago baseball weather.

Sorry we'll miss. I only have a time to go on Sat. My son and I are going shopping for new cleats today. 40! That's so warm. I was just musing no heroics this year - I'm wearing my winter parka!
