TMCC Question
Posted by choochin3 on Monday, February 27, 2006 5:08 PM
Hi Guys,
I need to know if I can use the TMCC system to run trains on seperate tracks.
I run conventional trains and have several unconnected loops of track.
Also can I run Flyer stuff with TMCC?

Many Thanks,
Carl T.

Yes,just connect a wire from the command base to each separate loop outside rail.

Good Luck...

To operate conventional locos with TMCC on seperate loops you would also need a TPC, Track Power Controller, on each loop and your power source would be connected thru the TPC to the track. I believe Lionel has more detailed info on their website.

Interactive tutorials.

You will need some type of device to vary the track volatge. TPC's, a new ZW, or PowerMasters will allow you to do this. Depending on what you are trying to control and what power supplies you have, you can make a better decision on how to go about doing it.

AF trains can be modified to run TMCC:

I forgot to mention I am using a new Lionel ZW transformer as a power supply.

All you need is a Cab-1 and base station. New ZW can control up to four independant loops. You can control AC powered american Flyer as well.
