Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. This will copy the image of your desktop to Windows' invisible "clipboard." Open up Paint, and press Ctrl + V. That should paste the image into Paint. Save the image out as a JPG to your "My Pictures" folder and you should be set. It would be a good idea to resize the image from there, or you can resize it in Paint before you save it.

That's how you do it in Windows. If you're using a Mac, somebody else is gonna have to help you out., as I have no experience with Macs.

Clint [:)]

I get to the part to save image as a JPG. What do you do to get the pic to come up on the thread?
Thanks,

Laz, if I understand your question correctly, once you have the image saved, you're going to have to upload it to a photo hosting site, and then "hotlink" it into this thread - just like the pic in your signature. [:)]

Tim,

What a beautiful view. One of the favorite places that I have visited in the West is the Bear Lake, Idaho area. Beautiful country. I hope to get back to Idaho someday.

Here's a picture I use of my office for a few summers. I loved #40--what a great locomotive.

PAUL,
Yep foamblocks from the packing of some of the CHIEFs locos.
CHIEF uses this boat right after ice out so no need for cooler. Simply attch 6 pack to stringer and let in the water.

Come on GIZ, we owe the CHIEF one on all the cold weather he dealt us this winter.
This is your time to chime in?

Well, here is a picture of the background on my desktop. This was
taken on the P&L in 1994 or 1995. (On a friday no less, the operator
was tying down for the weekend, and let me climb up inside the car
for a few mins).

Rats!! My picture disappeared from my earlier post! It was there and now today, it's gone! What don't I understand about posting pictures, or why would the picture disappear like that?!
