Texas & Pacific Steam passenger or freight sounds????
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 24, 2006 2:38 AM
I have the Railking Texas & Pacific Mohawk with proto 1.0 with passenger sounds. I've got an opportunity to get an exact same engine with proto 2.0 sound and speed control but it has freight sounds. Can anyone tell me what the exact announcements are and would it seem out of place using it with my passenger cars? Is it possible to get the passenger sounds and load them over the freight sounds? My passenger sounds have allot of different sounds in 4 different steps from arrival to departure. I really would like to keep the passenger sounds but want the proto 2.0 capabilities. For the cost of getting the engine with proto 2.0 already on it and selling my present engine it would be extremely cheap to do. If I upgraded my present engine it would be quite costly. If anyone has the engine with the freight sounds and can send me a recording of the sounds I'd really appreciate it or send me to a place where I can hear it.
I appreciate your help.

Personally, I very seldom use the passenger sounds or freight sounds. If you wi***o change it, check under the item number on the MTH web site, advance product locater and see if MTH has the passenger sound set to down load. IF so use DCS and down load it and change it.
