Artie,

Where are you located? Artcraft Toy Trains in Hamburg, NY is a repair center for Lionel. He does sell K-Line products and he may repair K-line. Information and phone numbers can be found at www.artcrafttoytrains.com

Good luck!

Hi, I'm located near Lake Wallenpaupack in the Northern Poconos, so Hamburg isn't too far. I've always been able to service my own post-war Lionels, and now that K-line doesn't repair anymore, I didn't know where to go. I tried applying power while I cycled the lock-out switch, and nothing worked. I tried turning the cruise control on (I leave it off-my layout is level), and nothing, just the lights stay on. It ran great for about six months, and then just died after going over a switch that it went over a hundred times. I figure a board burned out. I opened up the body, but couldn't see any signs of damage. I feel guilty bringing it to a shop because I bought it direct as a KCC member. There are two excellent shops in Scranton, Gryzbowski's and Scranton Hobby, but again, I wouldn't have a problem if I purchased there.
Thanks.

I know what you mean Artie, but I think you will not be alone in the 'broken K-line department.'

Give one of them shops a call and see what they say,
You may however be S.O.L. with any kind of warrenty issue, let alone tring to get parts.

Keep us posted.
