Is it possible to wire the newer Lionel TMCC Capable AMC/ARC Gantry Crane to the MTH (DCS) AIU? If so please tell!

If not, is there a y-splitter that will allow me to keep my TIU and the Gantry Crane plugged into the TMCC command base?

Any help is appreciated....I don't want to fry it by trying out different wiring scenerios without any knowledge.

Thanks!

A non ARM/ARC version of the crane could probably be hooked up to the AIU. The one you have needs to be controlled by TMCC via the serial cable. You would need to get a special interface cable made that supports a "Y" to allow TMCC serial commands out of the command base. Stock cable only supports TMCC ENG commands that are transmitted from the command base in RF form, not thru serial protocol.
