Hi, I see you're very close to CTT's headquarters. Nice area up there. I was there just once.

Welcome Bob. Do you know about the train shows at the Serb Hall in Milwaukee? I think there is one this weekend.

Thanks for the warm welcome!! Yes, I know about the Serb Hall shows--actually, I just met a guy who mentioned them. This weekend, however, I'm going to see what the Racine club is doing at their open house, and then I'm going to the Dupage show on Sunday. I'm picking up a couple of engines there. I just joined the Milwaukee Lionel Club--should be lots of fun!!

Ouch, ChiefEagles!! For what it's worth, when I reenacted I was a private in B Company, 1st Texas Volunteer Infantry (Hood's Brigade). We all loved the fact that B Company never surrendered their arms--they walked back to Texas from Virginia as a unit. I guess, coming from Illinois, that makes me a Copperhead.

At any rate, a lot of people have asked me if I'm any relation to the Blomberg of the Blomberg truck fame. Ha, yeah, that's why I drove a bus for years!! Every time I see the Blomberg trucks on a locomotive in a book I smile.
