Posted by rahway valley on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 5:13 PM
I Mail ordered a MTH 260e and &710 Passenger Cars from Ready To Roll in Miami Fla. I live across the state from them and received my stuff the NEXT day.The 260e had a bent tender truck.I called RTR and they said return it for an exchange.I phoned UPS to pick up the package the following day.
UPS arrived to P/U the engine and handed me a new one from ReadyTo Roll!!!
That's what I call GREAT SERVICE. THANKS RTR[:D]

No question about it, they are a fine bunch to deal with. I buy most of my Styandard Gauge from R-t-R these days, and have nothing but praise for their service and pricing. I'm seriously considering adding some tinplate O gauge to my collection, and may be giving them a call in just a few days.

I have dealt with Ready To Roll and will buy from them again when I can. I live in West Palm Beach FL, the only problem for me is getting time to go there, I don't really like online buying.
Also this is just to mention but a hobby shop in WPB closed just before Christmas, the place was BT&L Railroad at Okeechobee Rd. & Jog Rd. in the old Winn-Dixie shopping center. I may use Ready To Roll more often now!

Lee, I live in Wellington and already miss BT&L Railroad. They were a great source of small parts for several different hobbies. I haven't really met any O gauge guys around here & would like to see those of us in the area get together. Everybody I meet seems to be HO or N.
Ready to Roll is a great place; it's just so far away.

Back2Trains, I live in West Lake Worth really & know a few other Hobby shops around here or in Palm Beach county or Broward. Have you been to THE DEPOT at 518 Lantana Rd. or G & C Hobby on Hypoluxo Rd? North Palm Beach there is My Rose Hobby Shop but under new ownership in the past two years. Broward has a few good hobby shops like Warricks Hobbies.
Dade county has a few good hobby shops, one is on Old Cutler Road in Cutler Ridge-a
sub division of southeast Miami.
I have some prewar trains and some postwar trains, have a pair of 224's, steam locomotives and some sister steam locomotives to the 224's. Also have some modern trains from a few differant companies, my favorate railroad is the Reading which started as the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad in the 1860's.
