lionel 682 wiring
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 11:11 PM
I had just pulled the shell off my 682 engine and the black wire that sits directly on the top of the motor came undone somewhere below on the engine. Does anyone know where the wire should go? It's aprrox 4 inches long and is attatched directly at the top of the motor. Should it be resoldered to the e-unit somewhere or somewhere else? Please try to be specific. Thanks Jason

Hello jsethmor! This paricular wire should go directly to the Reverse Unit in front of the Motor.Go to the Olsen Toy Train Parts Website and they can e-mail a wiring diagram to you or call them at:1-216-226-0444. Hope this helps you out.

I got it fixed. I called a lionel auth service place and the man who I talked to told me where it goes. I resoldered it and she runs better than she ever did. Thank you for the reply.
