Mixing Lionel Fastrack
Posted by krapug1 on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 5:35 PM

After I took up the Christmas Tree Set I realized that I have more Fastrack than I thought.

I am considering replacing the 031 curves on my perm layout with 036 Fastrack using the transition Fastrack pieces. I may also use some fastrack on my longer straightaways.

Do Fastrack and Tubular O Gauge play well together?

Thanks

Ken,

I don't know the answer but if there are transition pieces then I would think it would work. I am sure someone here will have the answer.

The trees are blocking the transition peice in this shot, but they work well on the Atlas track I used here , and on the Lionel too. The height of Fastrack (and the FT transition peice) matches O as well as the pins. If you want to transition Fastrack to O27 there will be a height and pin difference.

It works fine. Just get the transition piece and connect the other end to a piece of regular O. I would not attempt to attach it to O27.
