PWC 6557 Smoking Caboose-Not Smoking
Posted by LS1Heli on Sunday, January 1, 2006 3:08 PM
Guys I cracked open my PWC Virginian set which includes a 6557 smoking caboose. For some reason the 6557 will not smoke! I put 10-15 drops in before starting it up just like the instructions say and nothing happens.

Funny part about it is that after some operation the somke unit gets hot...so it's working. Is there not enough fluid or did I put to much in there?

Whats going on?[:(]

Hello LS1Heli ! It sounds like you put in too much smoke fluid for a caboose like that. It should only take about 3-5 drops of Smoke Fluid. Too much fluid actually cools the Heater Element and will produce little if no smoke at all. Also, check your instructions for any special advice about Command or Conventional operation as well So that your Caboose does not overheat or stop smoking. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks! Yeah I did check the instructions for that command control stuff. I initally thought that I did put to much fluid in but that is what Lionel recomended. It still warms up..but no smoke...

Blow down the stack? In case of a smoke fluid bubble.
