Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 10:25 AM
I have recently started an ho setup ,and was wondering does anbody sell a auto uncoupler for ho sets ,for the purpose of dropping ,or humping cars .I recently saw one for o scale . im an actual railroader ,and the purpose of my set would be to make up consist ,and build trains then of course run them .
is that possible in ho ,or would o gauge be better .

Yes, it's common practice in HO. Check out Kadee: http://www.kadee.com/htmbord/page26.htm

As Dennis states, it is done in HO with Kadee couplers. You will have to switch over all of your cars and locomotives to Kadee couplers. That would probably be a good thing to do anyway as horn-hook couplers only help you excercise an adult vocabulary.
