Creating a lash-up with Command Control
Posted by tschmidt on Saturday, December 24, 2005 2:47 PM
I have a couple of engines that I would like to run together. What is the process for running 2 together?

Thanks for the help.

Tom, I'm sending you the instructions via email with pdf. I've done it and it is not too hard.

Ben,

Thank you for your help. That is a great tutorial. It answered some other questions I had also. Where did you find that? It is so easy to use. I would encourage folks to look at it for all it's information.

Tom,
I have known of the Coil Couplers tutorials since before I even owned TMCC(three years ago this Christmas). When I got my system hooked up, I felt like I knew it forwards and backwards thanks to the Coil Couplers tutorials.

The URL for the main site www.coilcouplers.com . The tutorials can be found by clicking on "Try TMCC." The main coil couplers site, although Lionel-biased, can also make for some interesting reading.

Tom - lash-ups work best when the engines have similar gearing. One way to check is to set up the lash up but don't couple the engines together, start them, and if they keep an almost even pace your all set. I run a GP7 and GP9 to pull a string of 18 die cast coal cars with out problem, and my track does have a few dips and rises.

It also helps if the stall individual stall speeds are set the same.
