mth passenger cars
Posted by crip on Monday, December 19, 2005 8:35 PM
I recently switched from fastrack to Lionel tube track and I am having a problem with
my MTH passenger cars at Lionel 90 degree crossings. The contact rollers on the MTH passenger cars hang up on grooves at the crossing causing the cars to uncouple. I did
not have this problem with a fastrack crossing. The passenger cars have smaller contact rollers and seem to be more at a vertical angle. The MTH F3 engine has larger rollers and runs smoothly thru crossings. Has anyone else had this problem? BTW the cars run
thru O22 swithes with no problems.

When I run my MTH passenger consist at the club layout I don't have an uncoupling problem just one of the cars seems to hop when it crosses the lift bridge. It is the same type of issue with the p/u rollers being vertical as opposed to an angle.
