another go at finding out about these DITMAR PASSENGER CARS I've got
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 5, 2005 9:04 PM
Greetings:

I posted this once already, so please excuse the repost, but I'm really trying to find out more about these two Ditmar passenger cars I've got, and whether or not they're worth anything?

I inherited a lionel collection from my uncle a few years ago, and still have two "DITMAR" "K. Ausweger" passenger cars sitting around, and can't seem to find much about them online.

I'm wondering if they're worth anything?

Thanks for any help any of you can give me.

Happy Holidays,
-=RR=-

P.S. Here's a photo of one of the passenger cars.

Robrocke,
I did a google search and came up with very little to help you with.
But,I did find a web auction site in England,www.vectis.com
They had pictured a 2-6-2 streamlined German locomotive in O gauge.
It had a Ditmar passenger car pictured with it,but is different from the one you pictured.
It was called a Feuke-Bahnen,I have seen one of these locos before as a repair item at a local train shop.
I seen it on the workbench and asked if I could look at it.
The shell is made of heavy bakelite, and had plastic wheels.
I have never seen these trains before but I am interested in weird trains.
Do you have any other info on the cars you have? Where they were purchased,etc....
If you find anything about your Ditmar cars please post them.
