Info on Engine Maintenance

Anyone have a good link, website, or document that shows how to lube-up/maintain Lionel steam and electric locos? I'd prefer to not buy a book. Didn't see anything on Thor's website (kind of surprising).

Prewar/Postwar Lionel:

Modern locomotives - go to the manufacturer's website. Manuals, if available, show general maintenance information.

Owners manuals for newer stuff is on the Lionel Website in PDF format. It's under the Customer Service tab.

Older stuff is available on line form various sites but you sort of need to know what part of the original service manaul it was written up in. e.g. Olsen's Toy Train site:

BTW, most public libraries have the Greenberg Repair Manual for PostWar trains in their collections, some even have two with one always in the reference (aka non checkout area). If it's in the regular collection you could just check it out.
