How about these for $510, from the 2004 /2 calalog?
Is this too good a deal to pass on, or are blowouts like this common?
I wasn't in the market for a new engine but this may be just too tempting.

Hmmmm, I would say if you have the money laying around, why not?

It does make me wonder why they are being blown out, and who is having the sale?

I don't have to worry, beside not being into steam, I don't have $500. Problem solved.[;)]

When it is something you like and the price is 20% under the list price, its hard to resist, We've all been there. Keep in mind there will probably be somebody somewhere dumping them for less money than what you paid. Case in point, I wanted a 213 lift bridge so bad I paid 350 for a 399 list, the price came down as soon as they hit the floor, but the 213 wasn't overproduced to the extream so the price has come back up some even on ebay. Now the new swing bridge, I just won one for around 75 bucks on ebay. We'll see if it was worth it. and I'll see if its price ever goes back up.

My point is I should have waited for the 213, I learned my lesson and did wait for the swing bridge and got the deal I wanted.

Now I just need to find that $80 backshop that someone on here mentioned!

I will say this, they don't seem to overproduce the china product like they did when they were still in the states meaning the blowouts can be short lived. You may only get one chance for the great price.

A good deal would be all three for $510. Are have I been to too many garage sales lately?
I would have no regrets if for one.

I'm pretty sure I saw these at the Allentown train show Sat. for about the same price. I'd like one, but my layout is too small. Joe
