Can't make it this time--again--due to an internal job change (not one I'm terribly happy with). I donated all of my York savings to the American Red Cross and the Humane Society for hurricane relief, both in an effort to help out a bit and to prevent me using the money to buy even more trains, which I don't really need.

The thing I'll most miss about not going to York, however, is the lost opportunity to meet-up with friends from all over the country who I generally only see once or twice a year at those always-great York Meets.

I hope all you folks who are heading to Toy Train Mecca have a great time, and a safe and pleasant trip to and from the event. And, of course, I hope you all find those special items you're looking for!

ALLEN,
One of these years we will have to meet there.
Nice gesture on your part.

Hey Laz - I can't go this time. Best friend is getting married this Friday night with reception on Saturday night. I hear it is going to be great and the new Brown Hall for dealers should be interesting. They turned the open sided shed that is next to the Orange Hall into an enclosed building. I will be interested to hear how it looks.

I will be back in the Spring.

Regards, Roy

My Twelve Step York Routine - or- A Nonattending Primer to York:

1) Get up in the morning.
2) Drink coffee.
3) Fire up the computer.
4) Read/respond to York related threads on the CTT forum.
5) Think: "How many threads can there be?"
6) Think: "I should go there someday. It's only 2,794.93 miles from here!"
7) Look outside my window - It's raining here.
8) Think: "Is Farmer_Bill as funny in person?"
9) Drink more coffee.
10) Think: "There's always Scrapple..."
11) Drink more coffee.
12) Think "Naw, my wife would divorce me - Maybe next time!"

ROY,
I'll let you know how that new hall is.
Maybe see you in the spring. Have fun at the wedding.

Plan to be at the Toy Train Museum on Wednesday, The fairgrounds on Thursday and Friday. Saturday is undecided, maybe drive down to the B&O museum.
