TMCC + SC2 + DZ-1000 + non-derailing....will it work?

We are getting ready to put up our Christmas layout where I work. Last year we converted it to TMCC, and this year we are adding the Lionel SC-2 for remote control of the switches. We use Ross switches with Z-stuff DZ1000 machines.

My question is, can I wire the non-derailing function of the DZ-1000 machines while using the SC-2 to control them? (I still plan to leave the pushbuttons in place too.) Just studying the wiring diagrams it seems to look like it'd work but I thought I'd ask the experts here before proceeding with a lot of wiring.

MT,

The answer is yes assuming you are using the DZ-1002 controller. It sounds like you are also aware that you have to fabricate the outside insulated rails leading into the switch that are connected ot the L and R terminals of the DZ-1002 for the non-derailing function (unless Ross has some newer switches out with the insulated rails already in place?).

Good luck,
Roy

Thanks Roy, yes we are using the DZ1002 and the insulated rails are built into the switches, the only things to add are the fiber pins and the extra wires leading to the controller.

I'm going to try to get some photos of the layout during/after building this year -- can't wait to get started!
