K-LINE smoke units/ Are they the same as Lionel?

Do the smoke units in K-line scale berkshires and hudsons have the same unit that Lionel have? The Kline hudson and berk I have, don't smoke too much and I was wondering if the Lionel smoke fix of reversing the smoke unit wires would help.(changing the direction of the smoke fan blades).

Don,

If you do a search on this subject, you will most likely find your answer, but if I'm not mistaken, at least one forum member did have a similar problem with his K-Line smoke unit and when the wires were switched, the problem was gone, and the unit smoked fine. But before you go doing a repair, DON'T do so based on my memory. Do a search and find the posting with the K-Line specific information. You might want to ask the person who posted that info how he went about it.
