01user:
I don't use it, but I read that there were different chips for Britain and for North America (due to different hertz in the electric supply.) I used to know a fellow who adjusted the chips from Brit to N.A. operation, but he went to Britain. I think the final runs of chips were intended for N.A. (for some reason).
I believe that 01 was unique and not compatible with anything else.

I have in use 2 ZTC 202 chips on Z1 I found that they were very finniky to program at times, many trys were required even disconnecting power between program insertions however when a program was succesful it was quite good over ordinary Z1 chips as the ZTC chip delivered more volts to the loco motor . However when running two locos with ZTC chips one loco after a while heated up and was unable to controll if run seperate no problems also no problems if mixed with Z1 modules.
