I think they are one of the best little engines to be ever offered in O gauge. Very nicely done in every respect, and good runners. They are switchers, and not road locomotives, so they're not intended to pull long consists. I have about half a dozen of these little critters now, and may even buy a few more, depending on what new roadnames come along. In my opinion, they are significantly superior to any of the small motorized units offered by Lionel over the years (I used to collect those items for many years), and a heck of a lot less expensive.

We reviewed it in the March 2004 issue and there is a video on the website under reviews (it should be on the second or third page back, by now).

I was actually looking at Ready Made Toys -- Beeps. Which is a better piece to use as a yard switcher? They say there 9 1/2 in. long.
