022 LED bulb replacements
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 12:57 PM
A vendor I met at a recent train show was selling LED direct replacement bulbs for Lionel 022 switches. I can't find his card to order some. Does anyone have an idea of who the vendor might be? ... or places to buy them?

I saw someone on Ebay who seemed to have a business selling self contained LEDs with bayonet and screw bases. It might be the same guy. He had red green and clear.

Many thanks. Yes it looks like what I'm after. I'm trying one to see how it works.

Considering the price, that is awesome for a bulb that lasts close to forever!

I got some for my O22 switches, and they are great!!! I will be getting more. You won't be disappointed.

I think that price has come down a bunch. I thought they used to be $5.99 each, not long ago. The only thing I would worry about with those would be over voltage. I like to run my switches at max, about 20V. I'm sure it would be possible to add a resistor or something to knock it down.

I have my ZW inner handles all the way up to run my switches, and they haven't burnt out yet. Without adding any dropping resistors. I got them close to 8 or 9 months ago. I run my layout daily, so it gets lots of use.
