Was thinking about getting one of these but the p/u rollers look so close together that I was wondering about stalling out on the switches. Anybody here got one, do you have any switch problems? [?]

Same here DDG,

My Pennsy Atlantic works great over Lionel and Atlas O switches.

Aren't the 4-4-2s the 'classic' Lionel train set engine? I have two of them - from 1941 and 1970-something. They work great through pre-war and post-war switches.

Lionel makes a high-end 4-4-2 Atlantic ($549.99) as well as those found in their starter sets.

Perhaps I should have been a little more specific, the E6 which comes in only a few road names. I do believe my question has been answered though. Thanks guys. [bow]
