Wabash Hudson
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 16, 2005 9:32 AM
This is just great. I bought this Wabash Hudson and it worked for a couple days before it starting working very erratically then nothing. I got it apart (which is one of my specialties). The lcru is getting power and there is a slight hum, but there is no power coming out of the lcru. I checked with Lionel and that part is obsolete. She suggested I start calling dealers to find the part. I thought there might be a new part # to refer to but she didn't know of any. The lcru is #610-8046-176. Any suggestions. [8D][:o)]

Trainut1950,

One source for you would be Digital Dynamics at http://www.digitdynam.com

On their site at http://www.digitdynam.com/f_cc_boards.htm, they have a new device called the AC/DC DLX for $79 that will replace an LCRU. They used to carry LCRUs, but sold them out last year at $50 each. E-mail them to verify that their product will work for you.

Another place to try would be http://www.tastudios.com/tascmdupgrades.htm

Good luck,
Roy

Regards, Roy

Thanks, I ordered the part today from wmt. Now how can I explain to the wife that I had to spend 94.50 on a loco that I just bought? John
