How do you find the E.T.A. of a particular model?

There are a few models that I am looking forward to getting and I am curious how some people know when these are shipping. Is there a way of finding this out for the regular joe?

I know the catalogs come out several months before the models shown. Is there a standard time that models in the spring catalogs are shipped? I realize it is probably different for the different manufacturers. Any hot tips?

I would love to know when the K-line Porters, SuperStreets and the Lionel Halloween themed General shipped.

I think most of the manufacturers have a schedule by model number on their websites. The only problem is the degree of accuracy of those shipping schedules.

Doug is correct. By visiting the manufactor's web site, you can check approx shipping dates.

MTH does it by month, K-Line does it by 1/4 (spring, summer, fall, winter). I am not sure about Lionel.

It's another thing if they hold firm to the shipping dates.

You can send an e-mail to their customer service. I've had good results with MTH and K-line. They will give you an answer.
