C&O Heavyweight Suggesstions
Posted by dougdagrump on Monday, March 14, 2005 8:12 PM
Browsing around looking for some C&O heavyweights, to go behind my new Mikado when it gets here, but can't seem to find any that are reasonably priced. The K-Line Pullman 5 car set looks really nice but it isn't C&O. Any ideas or suggesstions?

You might check out the C & O Historical Society.
I know that they have things produced for them,
albeit mostly in HO scale, but possibly get some ideas.

MTH makes these

They also made Madison type cars, third shelf down on the right.

I don't think the K-line Pullman cars would be a bad chioce bahind your C&O mike, if your wanting too haul passengers with it. The C&O cars were Pullman green for many years particularly behind steam such as trhe "George Washington." I'm not sure when The C&O changed to Blue, yellow, and silver. You'll be ablw to run almost any road name with the Pullman cars and the K-line cars are beautiful. I saw them this weekend at the Cincinnati Greenburg show. Western Depot has the special 6 car set.
