Railfest 2005 is this coming weekend, March 19 – 20, 2005 at Lakeland Community College, Kirtland, Ohio.

Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm both days.

This is one of the largest shows in NE Ohio. It usually fills 3 gyms and 1 other room.

This is an all gauge show, with plenty of ‘O’ gauge. [:p] [:D] [8D]

Anyone planning on going. Maybe we can have OTTS (Ohio Toy Train Summit) get together. [;)]

I am planning on attending on Saturday morning.[:p]

You guys are so lucky. It seems as if we never have train shows on the west coast. Back in the midwest and the east I see shows all the time. Lucky guys. [:)][:)][:)][:)]

John - I was planing on going in the morning, between 10:00am and 10:30am.

Last year I went around 10:30 and the line to get in, was about 15 to 20 minutes long and growing.

I've been fighting the flew for the past week so I think I'm going to miss this show. If I feel better on Sunday I might take a ride out there.
So what did I miss guys?

Hi Bob,

Good to see another OHIO boy on the Forum.

I was very good today at the show. I only bought a new cornerstone trains station to replace the Rico station that I sold to cstx30. The Rico was just a little to large for the layout I had it on.

A very large croud today. Three gyms and one other room filled with trains and plenty of O gauge.

Hope you are filling better soon.

If you ever make to the Willoughby area, drop me a line for a visit and get together.

tom

Yes, We had a great time at that show today, like Tom said, lots of O-gauge, though I mainly had my sights set on Tom's Rico station! Thanks again, Tom! Of course I was always loosing track of where everyone else was, though fun! Tell ya a funny one, Tom took his hat off once and I said to myself, that's it , I'll never find em now! That's how crowded it was at times. Well, got fit my Rico station in now!! Thanks, John[:D]

Tom,

It was nice to finally meet you. You really do need to keep your hat on so your friends can spot you!

John, sorry if we lost your son, every time we stopped to shoot the bull he disappeared into the crowd.

As Tom said, why in the world don't the importers have booths at this big show? They're really missing the boat on connecting with their customers. The only distributors there were Ed Boyle and Walt Paraiso representing OGR,,,..
