Unfinished projects
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 13, 2005 8:32 AM
Was wondering if anyone else had some projects, structures, or layouts that they have not finished .Sometimes I start something ,then think of something else. The hard part is getting back into it.The ideas are there ,but I get little sidetracked sometimes

Oh, my whole layout ! Seems everytime I get some new piece, I work on that, then don't get back to the last one. My wife says I jump around too much. Still fun though.[:)] Thanks, John

I'm building another switch stand, this one from prototype plans. To see it, lay your computer over on its right side so the picture is vertical.

In the 1st photo, is the basic chasis and target, both made from copper plumbing pipe that I flattened with a hammer and used tin snips to cut out. There is a brass wire for the switch rod.

In next 2 photos you can see where I soldered the base so that the target stands vertical in a stabilized position.

By the by I'll have more photos:

Oh, and I used a bench grinder to grind out the round target. Used a penny to draw a circle in the brass. For the chasis, used tin snips.

Below is my clutter and BB the Beagle, who is patrolling the clutter.

Dave, that is a great project! Also, glad I got the new flat screen monitor. It's nice & light to turn sideways!! [:D] Thanks, John

Al,

Good going!

John,

Glad you like. I was going to run some upside down if you or the flat screen is up to doing a headstand.

Also, changing out my Williams handrails with some wire ones.
