You may need to click on "card and waybill" on the left side as the link appears not be be coming up.

The beauty of this system is that it is simple with not a bunch of note taking or rules. Operates randomly.

Once my layout is up, I'd like to give this a try as I'll mostly be doing a lot of switching and will add challenges to the switch puzzle; e.g., how can I get the 3rd reefer up from the caboose to go into a spur with a facing switch, will pulling out the boxcar that is blocking it.

This could add hours of fun without being overly crazy with rules and officialdom.

underworld.

Yes, this guy is cool and is not incumbered by minutia

Steve.

This waybill thing and a lot of other projects are in the future. My days are packed just trying to fini***he layout. Glad you like. A definite FUN FUn way to do it. SOrt of reminds me of monopoly when you don't know if or not you will go to Jail or get out of Jail card.

That's the type of fun I'm talking about here. You could literally involve the family in the switching puzzles and modify what this brit has done.

"The days are just packed" Isn't that the title of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes book? I don't know anyone using a waybill system who is not verrrry particular and picky about how they do it - I know it's their railroad and they can do what they want....It removes the fun for me - especially if one doesn't readily know the lingo or freakin' hand signals they make while operating. That said, this system looks fun.
