This is absolute rumor but I saw a posting on another group about Disney and Lionel involved in talks about Disney buying them. Anyone heard anything about that.

All Lionel all the time.

Hello okiechoochoo! It most likely is a rumor that you read about in the forum you were looking at. My Guess is that it is not true as Bergie ,Neil, or Bob would have posted a story about it on this Forum.Take care...........Keith

It would be cool if true, then in SoCal we could have a Lionel store in Downtown Disney !

I'm not sure why entertainment giant Disney would want to purchase a small toy manufacturer/importing company.

But hey, if it means we could finally get 3-rail models of the Disneyland Railroad trains, I'm all for it!

It was on the Super O Track forum on Yahoo that is run by Mike Spanier. Some guy works for Disney in FL and heard it from one of the upper level execs there or so he says

All Lionel all the time.

Since I own a small amount of Disney stock maybe I could get either a break on Lionel prices or maybe get insider info on new locos, etc. John
