I have been thinking. What 2 Toy Trains Best Represent Our Hobby.
There are so many to choose from, but my geusses are the..

1. Lionel 400E Blue Comet and Cars
2. Lionel Santa Fe Super Speedliner

What 2 trains do you think best represents our hobby????

although I am partial to the New York Central version, the Santa Fe's were much more prevalent, and I think that red and silver scheme ir realy representative of the toy train hobby.

Likewise, a post-war 2-8-4 Bershire or similar Hudson really represents the hobby to me, because it is what I grew up with.

on second thought, I think teh train that best signifies the hobby is an OGR Beep.

For me it'll always be a Lionel 1110 and a Lionel 2026 pulling a small consist of O27 cars, because those were my Dad's boyhood trains and they were my introduction to the hobby as well.
