thanks for any help

9500-type cars are about 13 inches between pulling faces. 2400-type (O27) cars are 11.5 inches. 2500-type extruded-aluminum cars (O31) are 16.25 inches, with 15-inch bodies.

Hi Charles!

Although numbered in the 9500's, these UP "Overland Limited" cars, offered in 1984, were extruded aluminum like the Postwar 2500-series cars. Use the 16.25"/15" specs Bob provided for reference to the Williams. BTW, these cars were intended to match the 8480/8481/8482 UP F-3 diesels, and the dining car was numbered 7210 [%-)].

My Greenberg's book indicates there were color matching problems with this set, especially with the 9547 observation car, reported as darker than the others.
