I'm sorry I didn't see this post until today. As you might guess, the sale of the Kalmbach brands to Firecrown Media was unexpected and shocking. The good news is that Firecrown has hired all editorial, design, video, and many other Kalmbach employees to join them.

I have to admit, it's been emotional at times. I've worked for Kalmbach for nearly 29 years, commuting to the same building for all of that time. We're leaving the Kalmbach legacy behind, along with some great (now former) coworkers. We've been busy sorting, packing, and moving files to prepare for our new office (about five minutes away from the Kalmbach building). I shed a few tears after I turned in my key fob.

However, as you can see from the items Bob Keller shared, CTT isn't going anywhere! Firecrown will be investing in all of the railroad brands and the future looks bright. We will have access to more resources than ever before. I've already worked with a number of Firecrown employees and they have been great.

Change isn't easy. But please know that Roger Carp and I are forging ahead and will continue to bring you the best stories, how-tos, news, and everything related to toy trains.

That's so good to hear Rene!  SO good to hear!  I'm so glad the future looks bright for you, Roger, and the rest of the crew.  And if there's days when things are a little rough remember the words of a very wise woman:
