This is what one sees as they enter the train room. Looking to one's left, you're viewing from the top of Cumberland, with PawPaw at the far end of the wall. This if the "Northern" portion of the layout, influenced by the parallel running B&O, WM, and C&O Canal. The second 2/3 start at Green Spring, WV (center rear), influenced by the B&O's South Branch.

Directly across from the entrance is the terminus of the South Branch, inspired by the "twin-city-metros" of Moorefield and Petersburg, WV. Compressed in this area is the South Branch Stockyard, engine facitility, and depot.
