Whistling Just a little one LOL, I think the 400E ( 4-4-4 ) weighs as much or maybe a touch more as it is one heavy steam engine.

Afternoon,

recently I watched the Budd Rail Diesel Car documentary by Classic Trains mag on DVD. Loved it! I thought it was a solid documentary!
Not much else going on train wise at he moment.

Couldn't get on yesterday when I tried. I have a 219 crane coming in today with partial original box.

Here is some pics. What amazed me was that everything works, even has the track mount so it doesn't tip when lifting a load, and original sticker on boom and it looks like original string and hook.

Wayne "Firelock" Antoniazzi says:

"I'm not dead!

I made the mistake of logging off the "Trains" website (actually I was doing a "cookie purge" which automatically logged me out) while the Forums were totally loused up.  NOW I can't log back on!  I heard from customer service if you were logged off before the latest "kick-start" of the Forum there's no way to log back in until the whole site's rebuilt.  And who knows when THAT'S going to be.
"Overmod" who's a "Trains" Forum regular has the same problem and he's having a meltdown  over it.  He's told me so, all I can provide is a shoulder to cry on.
Anyway that's the reason I haven't been posting.  What are you gonna do?
Anyway, the bright spot this week is the BIG York train show.  I'll be heading up on Thursday. Not really looking for anything but who knows what's gonna find me?
Best wishes,
Wayne A."

So we may not hear from some people for a long time!

Mornin' folks. Crisp and cool in the Potomac Highlands.

Sadly, we have lost Laz57 this month. George had been fighting the big C for a year. He will be missed.

Headed off to YORK today, so maybe I'll spot Flintlock. Wayne, I'm wearing  a black and orange hoody, and Kelly will be with me. Hopefully our paths will cross.

Stay frosty my friends...

Morning all.

27 September 7 a.m. we lost power, internet, & cable. Mid day Oct 4 we got power back, 15 Oct 7 P.M. we got cable and internet back.

Then I forgot, for some reason I can not get on using Google/Edge, browser but can using duckduckgo browser and I do not get all the adds using it also.

any way I sold 3 standard gauge passenger like the 29th of september, but even when my android phone would get a signal, I could not get it to play nicely with my printer. But all is good now.

Anyway I'm now back. Never imagine a huricane in the gulf of Mexico would still be a hurican when it got to Spartanburg, S.C. ( yes it was still a weak cat 1 huricane 475 miles inland. ) Asheville N.C. got it worst than we did as far as damage. Huricane Helene will not be forgotten.

I got a 440C in during all of this. All the pics for some reason made me think they where taller. but they are only about 8 1/2" tall.

Oh my! I am saddened to hear of Laz57's passing!  He was always a shining light on the coffee pot.  I enjoyed hearing about his life and trains back in the day when this was an incredibly active website. I had hoped to meet him at York someday and have a beer.  I will always remember his signature tag line..

Stay frosty my friends.

Rest in Peace, Laz 57.

A great man and inspiration to many of us.

Yes Laz is going to be greatly missed.

Well I didn't get to go to York, I did see that Fife and Flintlock did meet up though. I got a deal on the Bay, I got a NIB 436 Power Station, it's the smaller one of the two. It's a MTH remake.

Sorry, didn't see Flintlock. I ran into Bob Mitchell though, on Thursday.

Here is Fifey's haul...

Starting from the top, Lionel Transylvania General, bobbing ghost boxcar, hologram aquarium car, and LCCA UP boat loader. MTH's green ghost trap car, and the old version Santa Claus Express lighted boxcars. A bobbing giraffe car, plastic canoe, and PW parts I needed. Oh...and a rather nice Marx Tales of Wells Fargo engine and matching passenger cars. And the WM Crooks is a really good one (especially for $75).

Great haul Fife,

Those Wm Crooks engines are getting harder to find in good condition.  That plastic is pretty fragile.

Wow been without internet again for past 11 days and I haven't a thing here in the coffee Pot.

Hope all are getting ready for there Christmas layouts. I need to add about a foot on the inner of my train table ( right now there is a opening of about 4' x 8' ) may not be that much. If I remove the Hellgate bridge I can get away with less, maybe not even need to. That Hellgate bridge takes up a lot of realestate. Actually all of the standard gauge building do.

We're just finishing up the Knex Golden Gate Bridge which lucky for me my little friend doesn't have anywhere to display the thing so it's going to be part of the Christmas layout.  Now I just have to repair, clean, lube and build everything!  Wink
