I have a layout that use 1122 switches back to back. When I run the train through one of the conmected switches, it cause the locomotive to reverse. This is a O27 layout. Any though?
Do the switches make all of your locos reverse, or just a particular one? If it is just one loco, what is it? Does it matter which direction you are entering the switches when this happens?
Generally, locomotives reverse because of a momentary loss of power.
Working from memory, the 1122 switches have an anti derailing feature that is triggered by the wheels of a loco or a car across an insulated rail. The insulated rails are usually the short ones jist past the points. It is possible that something here might be causing your issue.

What is the catalog number of the locomotive?Are you using 1122 switches, or the more common 1122(E) switches?Are the switches arranged in a way that creates an "Ess" S curve?Post pics of everything, including the track arrangement.

O27 switches are notorious for developing dead spots. Use a test lamp or meter to check if there is an interuption of the center rail power.
