need visual image of wiring tmcc with a loop of track and one 022 switch

So now I got the required parts of tmcc to run postwar engines and switches with the cab 1 remote, I can’t grasp in my head visually how to wire the postwar zw, powermaster,  command base1 with the powermaster adaptor to the lockon connected to the tubular track. Can someone please make a wiring diragram for me please? Thanks

Thanks for the link. So on pages 20-21, these are the diagrams you are referring to correct? They show the command base1 and several transformers wired to the track. Unfortunately since I only have conventional locos with a e-unit, I need to connect the powermaster to the track and not One of those diagrams show where to connect the powermaster to the track!! Do I connect two wires (one for common, the other u,) from the terminals of the powermaster directly to the track if I use the command base1 for operating 022 switches and accessories? If I want to run more than one conventional loco at the same time and connect additional transformers to additional powermasters one powermaster and transformer to each block section, do I additionally from phasing the transformers can I power the 022 switches in each block with the transformer that’s providing power to that individual block? If the switches need their own transformer do I need to phase that transformer with the other transformers? And does each sc2 governing its 6 switches need its own transformer or can multiple sc2 units with each group of 6 switches share the power from one zw transformer? Unfortunately that manual doesn’t clarify these important questions I’m trying to find the answers to and I certainly don’t ending up frying powermasters and sc2 units because I wired them incorrectly. Thanks

You can, but that would defeat a couple of the purposes of having the switches powered from a fixed voltage supply - a load on the track would diminish switch performance, and the switches and their bulbs would sap power from the track powering the train.

What you want is a separate dedicated supply for ALL of the switches on your layout, phased to ALL of the transformers controlling the trains(whether though a PM-1 or not).

Well, no. As long as you have a properly powered 022 connected to position number one on each SC-2, they need no external power.

Just for clarification, you are not running TMCC for your trains, you are running conventional with the CAB-1 & PM-1 PowerMasters. The only TMCC feature you have said you are using is switch & accessory control.

Thanks for clarifying to me the wiring. After reading the sc-2 manual, I noticed something wrong! Doesn’t the tmcc signal transmit from the outside rails? It strikes me odd the Sc2 manual doesn’t say to remove the non derailing fiber pins from the outside control rails, so is It not necassary to remove the fiber pins from the outside control rails, or did Lionel forget to put it in the Sc2 manual? Also, is It ok if one loco crosses over into another block governed by another powermaster?

HALF of the signal. The other half comes from your house wiring.

You never remove the non derailing fiber pins from the outside control rails. Doing so will cause the switches to be inoperative. Leave them where the factory put them.

Absolutely OK. This does not pose a problem at all like it would using two different handles of a ZW to do the same thing - there is no fault current with the PM-1's.
