Hello everyone,
I'm delighted to be chosen as your new editor. That being said, we're looking for feedback on the magazine. I've put together a short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/STH2MZG
In the coming months, we'll be sending out other surveys, asking about content in recent issues. Please consider filling these out should you receive one in an email. We read every comment and take this information seriously.

Congratulations on your promotion Rene, and well-deserved it is!
I took the survey and added a suggestion for a bit of extra content for the magazine that I don't think has been done before. How about articles on local train club sponsored train shows? Needless to say this would be a bit much for the CTT staff (unless it's that big Menards show in your neighborhood) but what I'm thinking of would be articles submitted by club members complete with photographs.
Articles about club shows would showcase those clubs and be a good way to grow th hobby. Just a thought.
I am considering posting club news on our website and have already been in touch with Mike McClintock at LCCA about that. Another article idea I'm considering is layouts open to the public, something we used to do in Garden Railways for a number of years. (If anyone knows of a public layout, please email me at editor@classictoytrains.com. They can be club owned, in a public location like a library, or even at someone's home, but be aware that we'll need to share your address for that.)
I appreciate any feedback. Roger and I will be doing some issue planning in October, and I'll be sharing the survey information with him.
How about a sticky listing all the local train museums, there is a lot that are small but most have any idea of. So someone on a trip or something like that might be able to visit. I understand a lot of these are only open one or two days a week.
Three I'm thinking of right now in S.C. are small and first one even has train rides.

This one is more of a train club https://www.amroc.org/
and this one is a small museum right on the N/S rail line which also does amtrack. it's a small museum but has nice info about the Southern RR https://hubcityrrmuseum.org/
Smoky, when it comes to railroad museums, Trains Magazine and Trains.com have that covered in a big way, plus we sell a book about that. What CTT would do is include items with O/S gauge layouts.
