Track to fit Flyer No 211 Bridge
Posted by palallin on Thursday, February 9, 2023 2:49 PM

Here's an obscure one.  I just picked up a No 211 Flyer Wide Gauge Bridge.  I have understood that the wooden cross bars on the bottom of the bridge are spaced to accomodate the ties of Flyer WG track, but my Flyer track doesn't fit. I managed to make a couple pieces of Lionel 3-tie straights fit by moving a tie on each end.  My question is, is there specific Flyer track that will fit?  Does it have to be later track--i.e. post the '31/'32 build date for the bridge?

Thanks to anyone who might have any info.

I have encountered the same problem, The only solution I believe is to move the offending ties.

Thanks, Major.

Kirk Linvig has offered to make me a length w/custom spacing.  That is an exciting offer!
