Weekend Photo Fun 11/5-6/2022

Alrighty... getting the jump on things for this weekend. I finally have somethin' good for this week!
Just wrapped up editing a video this evening. A week or two ago I shot most of my postwar Lionel HO equipment in operation, and I'd been dying to get some of it up. Here's the first featured train- Lionel's wacky, wild, and surprisingly powerful 0642:

For added funsies, I took the time to browse the web for a font that was a close match for the one Lionel used on the HO boxes. I think it really adds something.

I still have 3 more videos' worth of footage from this session to edit...

A fun short video, and that little Lionel sure gets it done!

Thanks Ellie!

All-haw-rightie then. Here is a progress shot of the new-and-improved North Pole Village. The OG layout is in the foreground, the new layout framework in the background. The dimensions are 8 ft wide, by 42" depth. "X" marks the spot where O Tannenbam gets planted. Had to work within the same "footprint".

Modifications shift the tree 6" left of the original. Ms. Kelly's loveseat would be immediately to the right, and she wants to see ALL of her "cutesie" D56 houses directly in front of her. The new wooden framework is intended to add some life to the village, and allows for wood pedestals to hide the power strips beneath. Also, I wanted more ease of movement and storage of the two halves into the garage attic space, directly above the picture.

I didn't say anything but I was thinking that! It really does look lovely, I'm excited to see everything continue to come together.
