Mornin' guys and gals. Sunny and 54 along the Alleghany front-range. Nothing on the docket today. Maybe try to finish the scenery lattice-work.

Yesterday was yardwork. After finishing mine, took bush-hog down to entrance of our development, and beat that area back down. I do this a couple times a year. I was whooped the rest of the day. Youngest Princess made us a porkchop dinner, and we topped that off with some fresh peaches and icecream.

NRHS Chapter Business Meeting last night. Discussed upcoming converntions. This week, it's the Western Maryland Historical Society. Next week, the B&O Historical Society. Was hoping there would be a train show as well, but didn't see any on their itineraries... September 10-11 is Heritage Days in Cumberland. My dance-card is pretty full. I was also asked to serve on the BoD for another two years.

Angel for those in need.

Good Morning

Cool and clear here in Central Jersey - 65F now, 85F later, sun is out

Fife - your dance cars IS full, lol!! Sounds like me with the fire service.

So I didn't get the N scale layout, it wouldn't fit in the Magnum, so we'll rent a trailer and bring it back on Labor Day.  I did bring back 100 pieces of rolling stock and engines, so Jenni is pretty well set up for the time being.

I'll probably take the night off - I have things to do here.  Jenni may hit the local cruise night.  I was planning on hitting Asbury Park by 7, but I'm not up for that.  Maybe next week.

That's all I got....

Morning,

Yesterday, I rode with my dad two hours to get a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide that he bought for himself. (Quite an adventure. Plus, I got to have an Eggnormous breakfast burrito from Burger King...)

Best wishes for you Kev!  Man, you really deserve some good things after all that trouble.

No kidding and that was only the last week. Laugh

Got the truck back today and at least that seems good. They told me they had to reset the PCM and it has to re-learn my driving style????  Hmm

Still no date for the biopsy but I don't think it is that big a deal,,I hope. They did a ultrasound two weeks ago and it has not got that much bigger than it was in Feb. They also say it is common in old people. it was six months ago yesterday already since I snapped that foot off my leg. And I am walking again so it could be worse.

8N yeah if you got to tear up the floor do it the way you want it. Yes

Not much else here on The North Bluff.

Good Morning from Central Jersey

80F now, 90F later

Fife - I afraid if I do retire, I'll only get Christmas and New Years off....lol.

KRM - Most vehicles will adapt to your driving style.  It ususally takes 3 trips of 5+ miles at speeds greater than 25MPH to set the PCM.  This is so the engine works for max fuel mileage and effiecency.  And of course less "pollution".

Scored some free Fastrack and a Lionel Christmas Trolley set for $50, so I'll pick them up on Sunday prior to going to a Train Meet in Brick, near the Jersey Shore.  We'll meet up after with Jenni's Aunt and Uncle as they live nearby.

Tomorrow we'll stay home after work, gotta work on Thank You cards from the wedding.  Speghetti and sauasage for dinner tomrrow night.

Dinner with the Princess tonight. Should be fun.

Mornin' guys and gals. Hazy and 68 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Busy weekend, as the museum had lots of visitors with the WM Historical Society convention. Lots of nice conversation.

Yesterday, loaded up the cars and took Youngest Princess back to college for her Senior year. Believe that...? Picked up some dinner at Olive Garden for my lovely wife.

Grandsons coming later this week. Woo-hoo!

Yesterday I was 6 months post-op and Abrianna was 4 months post excape. Smile, Wink & Grin

Things are slow on the North Bluff but that is fine. A good friend is going to stop by this afternoon with some beef from one of the heard for us on his way up north. It will be nice to see him shoot the BS and free beef, who could beef about that. Laugh No train news but that will come.

Good afternoon!

83F now and m0stly cloudy, so that's the high for today.

Busy weekend, after work on Saturday, had a surprise visit from my brother and SIL and oldest niece.  They picked up a few things and pictures from here. It was a nice visit.

Sunday off to a local train show, Jenni carted off with 32 N scale buildings, including a coaling operation and small refinery and 2 N scale sets for $40.I picked up a Christmas Trolley set by Lionel for $50 (it runs on DC) and some free Fastrack that needs some attention.  A Rock Island tank engine ($10) also runs on DC and some Lemax street lights and a NPR gondola ($10).

Yesterday I had to work for about 30 minutes as there were issues at work, so I jumped in for a bit.  Got a bunch of things done and on the cusp of leaving for my softball game, got waved off due to field conditions - it rained yesterday afternoon and last night - so the championship game is tomorrow and I have to be in West Trenton by 730 for a manditory caucus meeting for the fireman's convention next month - it's gonna be close.....

Cleaned up the 3 season room last night, once the furniture goes, that will be my new layout.  Complete with TV and a bathroom.  19 X 4 - Once we get Jenni's N scale layout, that'll go in the family room, so train things are progressing.

Back when I can - prayers for all in need

Good Morning from a bright and Sunny Central New Jersey

67F now, 92F later on

Softball season came to a close last night with a 16-11 loss, so we wound up #2.

I had to leave early for my Convention Caucus at the top of the 6th, we were tied 11--11.  At that point I was 2-2 with an RBI.  16-11 loss in 7 innings.  I batted .615 with 4 RBIs in the playoffs.

Got to caucus 5 minutes late, so no harm done.  Caucus was completed early but "politicking" went on until 930 or so.

Nothing much on trains right now, I did pick up 2 Dodge Sweptline pick ups from Menards and now looking a a couple of Plymouth Furys and Jeep Power Wagons.

No plans as of right now for tonight.

Mornin' guys and gals. Sunny and 72 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Wifey wants to take boys on a hike. Then oldest grandson and I will head to Lowe's for lumber.

Yesterday was multi-purpose. Headed east on 70 to stop at Hagerstown, for Hobby Lobby and The Train Room. Picked up a MTH Halloween parade (aquarium) car. This one is pretty cool, with LED lighting and smooth running motor. Then back on 70 to Frederick for Michael's. I picked up a nice mini bird bath, and two bags of glow-in-the-dark bones and skulls. Then over to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with oldest princess and crew.
Then back home with grandsons. FifeMax was happy to see them, and the boys headed straight to the train room.

anjdevil- sounded like a defensive struggle...

Good Morning and Happy Saturday

Made it to work, spent the night at Jenni's house after cleaning the Fire House Ballroom.

75F now, 89F later

Off to a party at a friend of Jenni's - by the time we leave (we both work on Saturdays) it'll be 2 hours in.

Fire Dept Picnic tomorrow at noon

Monday, Jenni works and I'm off so that should be a free day to collect some things from the Train Attic and bring them here to Mom's - that will be a start at least, I'll be bringing the boxed sets first - and there are a few.....

Well, that all for now

Good afternoon guys and gals. Sunny & 80's in the Potomac Highlands. Had all three princesses in Fifedom for breakfast, as well as all three grandsons. Loved it. And now loving the peace and quiet after they headed home. Waiting for Nascar to call the wreckfest at Daytona. Took this time to check in and post SPF.

Waiting for Nascar to call the wreckfest at Daytona.

We were in Daytona several years ago, not for the race but for an overnight stop at a beachfront hotel.  But we DID see the track, couldn't miss it.  Our reaction?

"Look!  It's NASCAR's Vatican! "

I went to Daytona International Speedway YEARS ago, to tour the track!

I got my picture taken in the winner's circle! (Plus with Jeff Gordon's Rainbow Warrior car.)

Mornin' guys and gals. Waitin' on the rain along the Alleghany front range. Can't mow the lawn for fear of creating a dust storm.

Nice quiet day yesterday. After dinner, spent a little time filling the new train shelf with rolling stock.

Greetings from Central Jersey -

Saturday night's party was well attended and we were fed well, no complaints.

Sunday's pic-a-nic was agaion, well attended and we were fed VERY well and no drama, thank goodness.  All was calm and peaceful

Yesterday got some sets out of my attic and are sitting in Mom's living room.  Got a 2-8-0 Consolidated NYC that I bought with a set for $20 it just hums and that's all - maybe a board, but not sure - might convert to TMCC or just buy a $100 LocoSound board from MTH.

I will be getting everything written down and get an accounting of what I have.  And this is just the start - it got so hot up there I finished up at 130.  Did some organizing and getting my Golden Spike Cars and Lionel Train Day Cars in 1 place so I know what there is.  Also got most of my TCA-Message Group cars together as well.  These were VERY limited runs, mostly if not all Weaver cars.

IHOP dinner last night - we are caring for one of my ferals - she comes in at night and goes back out in the morning, she gets meds.  We keep her in the 3 season room for now - so far so good.

Daytona?  Did the tour, drove the track, been to the museum, showed the car(s) on the infield and went to the FireCracker 500 in October.  Hotels on the beach are great, loved going there.  Nice place.

Off to work - back soonest

Hotels on the beach are great, loved going there.

You know, there was an IHOP on the A1A in Daytona not far from the hotel we stayed at.  Went there for dinner and breakfast the next morning.  BEST IHOP we've ever been to, the dinner and breakfast were perfection!

We couldn't help but notice there's a college in Daytona, I don't remember the name but all I could think of was "Lucky kids!  Schedule all your classes in the morning and you can spend the afternoon on the beach!"  The kids must love it!
