What type of Prewar American Flyer locomotive is this?

There is this interesting Prewar American Flyer locomotive in a local auction, but I'm not sure which one it is, as most of my experience is in Postwar Lionel. I'll try to post a photograph from Imgur. I was able to see it in person, but I forgot to take any helpful photos, so the one from the auction house will have to do. I think it is something like a type XX, as I found it in one of Northwood Flyers posts. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Edit: photo doesn't post, but the link leads to a public Imgur image of the locomotive...

Hi panzerpete75,

I believe that your identification of the engine in the photo as a Type XX is correct.  I've reposted the photo from the Imgur account below.

I can't tell from the photo but if the one you saw in the auction has a large metal piece where the rear truck should be it is the uncataloged version with the manual whistle.

How does the manual whistle work? I kinda remember seeing a metal piece under the cab. I'll probably have to use a Marx tender I have kicking around if I win the auction, as AF O gauge is very uncommon around these parts.

Also, it looks like the pilot wheels are crumbling, so I'll have to find some replacements if I win.
