Tom, not speaking from personal experience here, but I do know some other train guys who wi***heir wives were as interested (or at least as understanding) of the trains as your bird is. Which could raise some rather interesting questions, but I'm not going to touch that one. [:-^]

They say Birds of a feather flock together, so it looks like we are ALL in good company, including Spanky. Did Spanky get the train set of his own he wanted as a birthday gift??? [:D]

But for the board room at Lionel, this could raise some interesting discussions: If birds could talk, would they prefer TMCC or traditional control? FasTrack over 027? [8]

Happy birthday Spanky! I'm with Biranel -- I wish my wife was as interested as our pets. At least the dog likes to drive to the train store!

Who will last longer, Spanky, Tom, or the trains?

My vote goes for Spanky.

My 3 love birds are going on about 4 years (not keeping track of birthdays). They are parrots, like Spankybird.

I used to let them loose in the house (before they destroyed it--but heck, it was only a rental).

Once, they moved all of the little people in my layout and stacked them in a gondola car. Amazing!

These days, BB keeps an eye on the lovebirds.

Why 3?

several years ago one escaped in the dead of winter. After a week of searching gave up and bought another.

several weeks later, we learned that a lady a mile away had discovered the bird in her back yard and stuck it in a cage with a Cockatoo (the 2 became friends).

So, we now have 3 birds------very noisy birds, I might add

and their life exp is something like 20-30 years

Spanky says thanks all,

Yes Spanky loves cake and cookies. He also got his cashews. And I got him a new K-line Refer, but he said I can play with it.

[bday] Spanky. Pics are great Tom, but when Spanky does his thing on the railroad, is it true scale, or giant bird size......[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] [bday]

Hello All ! I wonder if Tom got Spanky the Three Stooges DVD That shows a Parrot walking into the carcass of a Thanksgiving Turkey that Moe,Larry, and Curly try to prepare for dinner.? Every time Curly Jabbed the Turkey with a knife it would squak out loud or when it was sprinkeled with pepper it would sneeze. It was a very funny performance by the stooges and the parrot involved[:)]...Quality family entertainment indeed ! This is something you would never see on a so called reality show.( Because it is much more entertaining)..............Keith
