MTH 64 Street Lamp Wire Connection

Good day.  I am in the process of building my layout and pulled out a pair of MTH (30-1065) 64 Street Lamps I bought years ago and stashed away.  These are the re-pops for the Lionel 64 Highway Lights.  For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to connect the wires to the bottom clips.  I know I am going to slap myself in the forehead when I find the solution.  Appreciate any guidance.

Okay.  Not trying to sound condescending, but here are the basic steps:

1. Twist the nuts up until you can see the holes through centers of the threaded terminal posts on the base of the lamp.
2. Strip the ends of the wires just enough to pass through these holes but not so much as to touch the metal base of the lamp when the nuts are screwed back down. (One terminal post is grounded to the metal of the lamp itself and the other has a nylon insulator to provide the positive.)
3. Connect to a 14 volt power supply.  Fixed votage taps are the best, but the lamps will operate on variable voltage also.  Just be careful not to let them burn too bright or they'll burn out too fast.
4. Ensure that the bulbs are good and are screwed in tightly.

Beyond that, you could have a loose wire inside the lamp post.

Good afternoon Becky and thank you very much for the welcome!  I appreciate your guidance however there are no wire nuts on this particular lamp post.  The wires are somehow connected to the push-in clips.  I was going to attach a photo but not sure how.  This particular Lamp Post mimics the Lionel 64 which has the same clips on the bottom inside of the base.
