Fife, thanks for sharing the promotional video.  Those framed photos look very nice.

Sunday photo fun? Okay, I'll bite!
Late to the party as I am, here's a great picture I snagged Saturday last week at the museum where I volunteer. What you can't see in the photo, is that the double stacks on the former B&M main line are at a standstill. The eastbound train had been rolling through when all the sudden they came to a grinding halt... and sat there for the next ~3 hours! I had ample time to snap my picture at the end of our line before we made the return trip.

And for added fun, here's an older picture from when I brought my Pittman 510 Frieght Motor up to the museum and put it on our pushbutton O-27 layout:

As you might be able to tell, I've been having a blast getting to share my love of trains (both the 1:1 scale trains and the smaller ones) with the kids and adults I meet every weekend. The 1862 General and 1877 horse car were quite popular with the kids when I brought it up to visit the layout Smile

That's the style, Lev. Thumbs Up Thanks for sharing. Which Class 1 runs by your museum, CSX or NS?

Actually, neither! Well, sort of. The main line in the background, once the Boston & Maine's Hoosac Tunnel route, is now operated by Pan Am Southern, a joint operation between owner Pan Am Railways, and Norfolk Southern. More often than not the power is NS, but it's not unusual to see lashups with a mix of NS and PAR power- the trains I usually see passing the museum are almost always partially or entirely lead by NS units.

I've been reading that unless NS jumps in front of the deal, CSX will buy that line. Did you catch a glimpse of the CSX office car special last month?

Unfortunately I missed it, if they had passed by. I spent the last two weekends of July, and the week between, in South Bristol ME.

From what I heard, NS were pretty miffed at CSX attempting to buy PAR out from under their noses. It seems they were trying to rush in and buy it without going through some extra steps, but the state (I believe) stepped in and said they had to do more stuff before they could attempt to buy PAR again. I forget the exact nature of it. All I remember is it may have had something to do with the state being able to reserve the right to run passenger service.
