If it's a "dollars and cents" based decision I can well understand it.

If it's a decision based on risk-aversion bordering on unreasoning fear I can't.  We had a VERY successful train show here two weeks ago with no problems and no ill effects to any attendees, and there were several hundred of them.

But it doesn't matter to me what they do one way or another, I wasn't planning a trip to Milwaukee anytime soon.  Wink

Yeah, I know talk is cheap on my part since I'm not in a position of responsibility, but the risk aversion on the part of civic leaders and others reminds me of something General Patton said about General Montgomery:

"Monty's the best the British have, but he seems to be more concerned about not losing a battle than he is about winning it."

Sometime you've just got to pull the trigger and go for it, know what I mean?  That's what we did, and man were we successful!  Best show we've ever had.

We were at a large event this past Friday in Somerville, NJ.  It was a cruise night for classic cars and not a train show. There were thousands of people there and not one had a mask on. All businesses were open. The point is this lockdown scare cannot go on forever. People want their lives back and train enthusiasts want to start attending shows again.
